NEC Elite IPK Multiline Telephone User Guide | User GuidesTO CALL OUTSIDE:
Press an outside line button or dial "9" to let the system select the line. Then dial the number.

TO CALL PHONE TO PHONE:
Dial the 3 digit extension number or press the one touch button for the desired extension if available.

CALL BACK:
After calling an extension, press "0". Your call will be returned when the party is available.

CALL TRANSFER:
With call in progress, press Transfer, dial extension number, or the one touch button and wait for an answer so you can announce the call. If the person you are calling does not want the call, press the green flashing line button to return to the original call

CONFERENCE CALL:
(Three way calling) After you have the first caller on the line:
1. Press Hold, then dial the second number (ie. 9-1-217-442-3800). After they answer, announce the call.
2. Press Conf to bring all three parties together.
After creating a three way call (yourself + 2 others), the fourth party may be added by repeating the process (steps 1 & 2 above). The total number of parties in the conference must not exceed 4, including yourself. No more than 2 of the parties may be outside lines. (ie. You, 2 outside calls, plus 1 person inside the office)

CALL FORWARD: ALL CALLS,:
To set call forwarding for all calls, press "Speaker" and "41" followed by the desired extension number. If you set this correctly, you will hear a clear tone telling you that the system accepts it. To cancel call forwarding all calls, press Speaker, and "42".

CALL FORWARD: BUSY/NO ANSWER CALLS,:
To set call forwarding when you are on the phone or don't answer , press "Speaker" and "43" followed by the desired extension number. If you set this correctly, you will hear a clear tone telling you that the system accepts it. To cancel call the forwarding, press Speaker, and "44".

LAST NUMBER REDIAL:
To redial the last number you dialed press "Redial" and the "*" button to dial it.

GROUP LISTENING:
Let others in the room listen by pressing "Speaker" while you are on the phone.

USING SPEED DIALING:
Press "SYS" for system or "STA" for station (personal) speed dial softkey. Press "UP"/"DOWN" softkeys to scroll through the speed dial list or use the dialpad plus "*" to jump to a desired entry. Lift handset or press Speaker button to place call. (Note: You may also dial by speed dial code number using "Redial" plus the 2 digit code)

TO PROGRAM SPEED DIALING:
Press "Feature" then "Redial" and then the code between 80 and 99. Then enter "9" plus the phone number. Then press "Hold" and enter the name using the touch pad like a cell phone (if you have a display phone). Press "Feature" again to store.(press # to enter each letter)

FEATURE KEYS:
Unused buttons may be programmed as follows: Press "Feature" + "Redial" then the button to be programmed, then enter "1" and the extension number and then "Feature".

PAGING THRU ALL PHONES:
Lift handset and press "51" and announce.

PAGING THRU SPEAKERS:
(When Equipped) Lift handset and press "55" and announce.

VOLUME/CONTRAST CONTROL:
The arrow keys at the bottom of your telephone adjusts the ringing volume, speaker volume, handset volume while the event is taking place. When the phone is idle, you can adjust the contrast of your display.

VOICE MAIL MESSAGES (When equipped).
To get your messages, press "Message", or dial 300 and then enter your password. Press 1 for yes or 2 for no to access the desired feature

TRANSFER A CALL TO VOICE MAIL
To transfer an outside call into somebody's mailbox, press "transfer", dial the extension number (or press the one touch key) plus "7" then hang up the handset immediately.
